Our story
Govanta Compliance was founded by Dr Jonathan Andrews, a UK clinician who had stood up new services, registered with CQC, and sat on the other side of the table on inspection day. Jonathan had seen first-hand the gap between what traditional compliance consultancies deliver – thick folders, templated policies, box-ticking audits – and what healthcare operators actually need: clear answers, pragmatic tools, and a partner who understands the business of running a modern clinical service.
To date we have supported more than 35 clinics and services across 20+ specialist sectors – from physical sites, diagnostic centres and multi-speciality hospitals to telemedicine platforms, hybrid providers, and some of the fastest-growing corners of private healthcare in the UK. We work selectively so every client gets senior, clinician-led attention.
What makes us different
Most compliance consultancies are built around templates and audit checklists. We're built around service models. Before we write a single policy, we spend time understanding how your service actually runs – what your clinicians do on a Tuesday morning, how your technology fits into the care pathway, where the real risks live.
That means the documents we produce get used. The policies are recognisable to your staff. The governance frameworks fit the way your leadership already meets. And the evidence packs are ready when CQC arrives, because they were never just for CQC – they were for running a safer service.
How we work
Every engagement begins with a scoping conversation. We'll ask about your model of care, your regulatory position, and what "done" looks like for you. If we think we're the right partner, we'll come back with a clear scope, a fixed timeline, and a named senior lead. If we don't think we're the right fit, we'll tell you that too, and point you in a better direction.
We keep our team small and senior. You won't be handed off to a junior consultant. The person you meet on the scoping call is the person you'll work with. We also work alongside the practice management and compliance platforms our clients already run on, so the evidence CQC asks for comes out of your day-to-day systems rather than a separate paper exercise.
Our commitment
Good regulation makes healthcare safer. We take that seriously. We don't help providers hide problems or game inspections – we help them run genuinely safer, better-governed services, and document that in a way regulators can trust. That's the only kind of work we're interested in.
